What’s It Like Being A Roofer?
With a career in roofing, expect to work long days installing, replacing and repairing roofs during our busy season which lasts from late spring through early fall. Although we are definitely busiest during this period, we provide our services, weather-permitting, year-round. Since we work outdoors, there are days when you will work in cold or hot conditions.
Roofing is a physically demanding job. Therefore, you must be up to the tasks of heavy lifting and climbing up and down ladders, all while using the safety necessary precautions. Shingles are heavy – please expect to lift up to 70 pounds while climbing a ladder to get on the roof!
If you are afraid of heights, this may not be the career for you! While this is nothing to be ashamed of, it is something you should consider if you are going to be climbing up on roofs on a daily basis.
What We Are Looking For In A Contractor
If you have prior experience in the roofing industry, that is a plus!
However, experience is not required. We are ready to train you to properly install and repair roofs of all types. Our talented crew leaders have vast experience and expertise in the roofing industry. They will teach you everything you need to know in order to provide our quality roofing services.
The thing we look for the most in the people we hire is that their morals and values align with ours. We are very proud of the quality finished products we provide our clients. We expect our contractors to uphold our high standard of service, workmanship, and efficiency. Whether or not you have prior experience, we will hold you to our high standards in both workmanship and morals.
